MULTIPRESS ECO - The press container that communicates when it needs to be emptied and helps to avoid unpleasant "scents", is now in use at the Benediktinermarkt. The joint project of the waste disposal and market departments of the city of Klagenfurt has started its operation.
The new MULTIPRESS ECO can handle significantly more waste because the waste is pressed immediately. It has a two-chamber system, can be operated with a chip and automatically reports when it wants to be emptied. "Another step in the Smart City concept in Klagenfurt," says vice-mayor Wolfgang Germ. And further: "We decided some time ago that these systems should also be used in residential complexes." The responsible parties are particularly pleased that marketers and restaurateurs can now be provided with such a modern system. "We are happy to be able to provide our market suppliers with a new garbage press that meets the highest technical standards!" Said City Councilor Markus Geiger. Noise and stench are now a thing of the past. "Thanks to the identification via chip and the automatic level indicator, pick-up intervals can be better controlled, which leads to more efficient use," concludes Geiger.
