Around 200 tonnes of mixed waste and an additional 200 tonnes of mixed film waste from commercial aircraft cabin cleaning are produced at Frankfurt Airport every year. The challenge was to compact these quantities of waste efficiently and to optimise the load weight in order to make the disposal processes more efficient.
The solution: Meinhardt Städtereinigung tested the MP 20-1.9 press container, which made it possible to significantly increase the filling weight - by up to 30% for mixed waste and 12% for film waste compared to the machines previously used.

Measurable success:
- Mixed waste: The MP 20-1.9 achieves around 7.5 tonnes per emptying, which is around 30% more filling weight compared to the competition.
- Film waste: At approx. 8.2 tonnes per emptying, the compactor is around 12% higher than the comparative values.
By using the MP 20-1.9, Meinhardt Städtereinigung can organise waste disposal at the airport more efficiently, save resources and protect the environment.
